Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table with a crucial 1-0 win over Newcastle United.

It was a tense game, but one moment of brilliance made the difference – Eberechi Eze produced a stunning strike from outside the box to seal all three points.

The result has once again put pressure on Manchester City in what is shaping up to be a dramatic title race.

But while the outside noise continues to grow, Arsenal’s players seem completely unfazed by it. Eze made that very clear after the game.

Who was your Man of the Match from Arsenal vs Newcastle

Eberechi Eze shuts down Jamie Redknapp with a perfect response

Pundits have loved talking about Arsenal this season, especially after they suffered a dip in form.

Those comments are never helpful, as most of them are made to create a narrative and divide the fan base.

After the final whistle against Newcastle United, Eze was asked about the pressure that comes from pundits and external voices during a title race.

Jamie Redknapp began the question by referencing the constant discussions and opinions from the media.

“You obviously hear pundits and everyone talking about,” he said on Sky Sports.

Before he could even finish, Eze cut in with a blunt and confident response: “I don’t hear pundits!”

Redknapp then finished asking his question about how difficult it is to deal with the noise.

The Arsenal number 10 replied: “Honestly, I feel like the pressure we put on ourselves is so much more than what’s coming from outside.

“We’re not too interested.”

If Eberechi Eze’s goal vs Newcastle isn’t Goal of the Season, what is?

What a strike…

Arsenal’s mentality is exactly where it needs to be

Pundits will always have opinions, especially when it comes to a title race involving a club like Arsenal.

However, not all of it is constructive – much of the external noise is driven by narratives and reactions rather than genuine insight. That is why it is so important for players to block it out completely.

Eze’s comments suggest that Arsenal players are doing exactly that. They are focused only on themselves and what they can control, and that is exactly the mindset required to win major trophies.

If Arsenal maintain this mentality in the final stretch, they will give themselves a huge chance of winning both the Premier League and the Champions League.
