Arsenal picked up a comfortable 2-0 win against West Ham United in the Premier League.
The Gunners dominated the game from start to finish. Despite losing Martin Odegaard to injury in the first half, they didn’t drop their level in attack.
Declan Rice scored against his former club to give Arsenal the lead, and Bukayo Saka converted his penalty to seal the win.
The two goal scorers were very good, but the real star of the show was someone else – Martin Zubimendi!
The Spaniard, who joined the Gunners in a £51 million deal (Sky Sports) in the summer, replaced the injured Odegaard, and he bossed the game.
Arsenal supporters are in awe of his display.

Arsenal fans react to Martin Zubimendi’s performance vs West Ham
Every Arsenal fan was aware that Zubimendi was a brilliant player before they signed him, but his performances have exceeded expectations.
After the win over West Ham, Gooners have raved about him on social media, branding him as the Man of the Match ahead of Arsenal’s two goalscorers.
One Arsenal fan tweeted: “Martin Zubimendi is simply world-class. Knows how to control the tempo of a game and when to break lines and progress. Deceptively aggressive too. Sublime footballer in a silent role. You learn our system by watching Zubimendi. Mr. Available at any phase of the game.”
“Zubimendi is Arsenal’s best summer signing. What a player,” said another.
Another wrote: “Zubimendi’s in-game intelligence is on another level. You don’t associate him with the usual physically robust destroyer type DM, but he is almost always there when you need him to win the ball, and his passing into the final third is so sublime.”
Another tweeted: “Zubimendi changed the game. POTM for me.”
“Zubimendi might be one of the best pieces of business we’ve done ever,” wrote another.
Martin Zubimendi’s stats vs West Ham are out of this world
Zubimendi was absolutely incredible for Arsenal against West Ham.
The Spaniard was involved in the build-up to both goals, and he completely ran the show from the middle of the park.
In his 60 minutes on the pitch, Zubimendi had 80 touches of the ball and completed 68 of his 72 attempted passes. He was accurate with every single one of his five long balls.
Out of possession, the former Real Sociedad man won five out of his six attempted duels, made three clearances and five tackles. (Sofascore)
We agree with the Arsenal fans above, Zubimendi was the Man of the Match. He was exceptional!
