Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table thanks to their win against Everton.
The Gunners visited the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time, and although their performance was better than in their recent visits to Goodison Park, it was not an easy game.
Viktor Gyokeres’ penalty in the first half proved to be the match-winning goal in the end, and the Swede should be happy with his performance.
However, the real Man of the Match, in our opinion, was Bukayo Saka!
Have we got it right by naming Bukayo Saka as our Man of the Match?
Bukayo Saka was Arsenal’s best player vs Everton
Even though it was a tough game and was decided by only one goal, multiple Arsenal players impressed against Everton.
Gyokeres got his goal and looked like a much bigger threat than he has been in recent games. Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi were both excellent in the middle of the park, while Jurrien Timber was outstanding again as well.
All of those players deserve praise, but Saka was better than everyone else.
The England international didn’t score or assist against the Toffees, but he caused them all sorts of problems from the right wing.

According to Squawka, “no Arsenal player had more touches in the opposition box (11), won more duels (8), completed more take-ons (4), had more shots (4) or made more tackles (3) against Everton than Saka.”
The Gunners’ number seven also showed his selfless side in the first half when he allowed Gyokeres to take the penalty.
We’re sure Saka would love to score and assist more than he has done this season, but nobody can have any complaints about his performances. He has been incredible.

Bukayo Saka doesn’t get enough credit
Saka is a world-class player, but he just doesn’t receive the same kind of praise that some of the other attackers in the Premier League do.
Yes, everyone acknowledges that the England international is a brilliant player, but a player who keeps producing outstanding performances every single week deserves more credit.
Saka is involved in all the good things Arsenal do in attack. He is a constant threat on the right flank, and his partnership with Timber on that flank has become one of the best in the world.
What’s really exciting for Arsenal fans is that even though Saka has been so good, he is still nowhere near his best level.
If he can reach his peak in the second half of the campaign, Arsenal will likely achieve their objectives.
