Arsenal impressed in the Champions League by recording a 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates.
On match day two of the 2024/25 Champions League campaign, the Gunners welcomed Luis Enrique’s side to North London.
It was a brief welcome, as Arsenal quickly made their dominance over the young PSG squad known, scoring two goals in the first half.
Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka got on the scoresheet, earning the hosts their first three points of the tournament’s new format.

Tim Sherwood makes Arsenal Champions League prediction
Many were impressed by Arsenal’s display, as the Premier League outfit swept PSG aside to get the win in front of a home crowd.
One name who was full of praise for Arteta’s unified squad was former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Special, Sherwood watched Arsenal in awe as they cruised to a win against PSG.
“Arsenal are so organised. They can beat any team on their day,” the pundit said before branding the Gunners’ display an “excellent organised performance.”
Sherwood was left so impressed with Arsenal’s showing against PSG that he made a bold prediction about how far Arteta’s side could go in this season’s competition.
“Arsenal can go deep into this tournament,” the ex-Spurs boss said in reaction to seeing the Gunners’ quality shine through on the big stage.
Arsenal’s maturity against PSG was a statement
It was very much a game of two halves for Arsenal, who in the opening 45 minutes, put PSG’s defence to the test with flowing passages of play.
Havertz’s 20th minute goal was crafted by his budding partnership with Leandro Trossard, with Saka’s coming unsurprisingly from a set-piece.

After entertaining in the first half, the message at the interval was clear, as the Gunners became a solid defensive unit in the second, protecting their early work.
Two goals and a clean sheet saw Arsenal get the better of PSG, who were defeated for the first time this season in all competitions.
It was a mature and composed display from the hosts, who proved that they have what’s needed to put together a strong journey amongst Europe’s elite this term.
