Arsenal put in their first dominant display for months on Saturday as they beat Fulham.
The Gunners looked every bit champions-elect in this game as they swept Fulham aside with ease.
Now, the pressure is on Manchester City, and Arsenal can sit back and hope their rivals drop points in either of their two games in hand.
This could go down as a very important win for Arsenal, and, with that in mind, we’ve named our winners and losers from this victory.
Who was your Man of the Match against Fulham?
Winners
Viktor Gyokeres
His best game in an Arsenal shirt. Two goals, one assist. Not much more needs to be said.
Really effective today, the first time he has truly looked like a £60m striker since joining Arsenal.
Myles Lewis-Skelly
Got his chance and took it. Looked a man reborn finally playing in a midfield role for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Too late in the season for this campaign to be considered a success, but a good building block to take into next season.
All may not be lost for Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal, despite reports he may be sold this summer.
Bukayo Saka
Back to his electric best, turned Raul Jimenez inside out for the opening goal of the game.
A peak Saka has been seriously missed this season, and as we head into the business end of the campaign, he may well be rediscovering his best form.
Saka’s return to prominence could well be what wins Arsenal the league.
Riccardo Calafiori
Another player who returned to the side today and proved his importance.
Calafiori may be a left-back, but Arsenal immediately looked more dangerous in the attack with Calafiori on the pitch – even before you factor in the disallowed goal.
Piero Hincapie has been fantastic lately, but Calafiori brings something seriously different.
Losers
Martin Zubimendi
Arsenal looked a lot more dynamic without Martin Zubimendi on the pitch – and that is not a good look.
The Spaniard has been excellent at times this season, but his recent form hasn’t been the best, and there was a real difference here with Lewis-Skelly in his place.
Zubimendi came on as a sub, and didn’t make a massive impact it has to be said.
Emile Smith Rowe
Not an Arsenal player, but a player Arsenal fans love nonetheless. This was a chance for Smith Rowe to show that Arsenal were wrong to sell him.
However, the midfielder looked lumbered at the Emirates, he didn’t create anything, and offered very little forward impetus.
£34m for Smith Rowe still looks like a great deal for Arsenal.
