A leaked video of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been doing the rounds on social media ahead of the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners have had an incredible couple of weeks. After beating Burnley, they waited to see how Manchester City would fare against Bournemouth, and Pep Guardiola’s side ended up dropping points.
Arsenal thus became champions, and a lot of partying was done in the following days to celebrate winning the Premier League after 22 long years.
In one private event, Arteta made a very bold statement that has reached the PSG camp.
🙏 Which Arsenal player would you most like to see score the winning goal in the UCL final?
Luis Enrique responds to Mikel Arteta saying Arsenal will win the Champions League
The Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG is a mouthwatering contest.
Many view the contest as the best attack taking on the best defence in the world, and we’re sure there will be many talking points.
However, before we even got close to the game, Mikel Arteta made the headlines for a rather brave claim.
During a private Arsenal party celebrating the Premier League title win, the Arsenal manager got on the microphone and said: “On Saturday, we are going to be the Champions of Europe. Let’s go!”

Ahead of the final in Budapest, Luis Enrique was asked about that and whether he would use it as an added motivation for his side to win the game.
He replied, as relayed on Hayters TV: “I don’t think there’s any better motivation than winning the Champions League. The rest is just strategy.
“But we’ll see tomorrow (Saturday). We’ll see who is better and more simply, who has won because that’s it.
“We both won our championships in our respective leagues, and I’m going to focus on what’s positive for my team so that we can show the best of ourselves.”
This is our Arsenal XI for the Champions League final vs PSG. What changes would you make?
Whoever leaked Mikel Arteta’s video should be ashamed
Arteta was clearly celebrating Arsenal’s title win and using it as motivation for the Champions League final.
In a private event where very few people outside the club were present, the Gunners boss felt that he was in a safe space to say what he wanted.
Unfortunately, someone felt that it would be a great move to post that video on social media ahead of Arsenal’s biggest game in their history.
That, unsurprisingly, has caused unnecessary headlines, and we’re sure PSG players will use the video to fire themselves for the final.
Whoever leaked that video should be ashamed of themselves.
