Martin Odegaard has admitted he was so emotional lifting the Premier League trophy for Arsenal after all the work that went into winning it.
Odegaard became the first captain since Patrick Vieira to lift the trophy, as the 28-year-old finally got his hands on the league title at Selhurst Park.

It has been a long journey to this moment for Odegaard, who has now been at the club for five years and has experienced many difficult moments.
But after such a long journey, the Norwegian midfielder got to lift the title and has explained the feeling of doing so for the Gunners.

Martin Odegaard admitted that lifting the Premier League title for Arsenal was so special after his five-year journey to reaching this point at the club.
The midfielder hasn’t quite had the season he would have wanted in terms of influencing the title win, but having been so pivotal in the journey, he certainly deserves this trophy.
When asked about how that moment felt, Odegaard told Sky Sports: “Honestly, I can’t describe it; it was so special, a lot of emotions and a lot of hard work behind it. So emotional, but beautiful, beautiful day and amazing achievement.

“Well, you always have the doubt and the fear that you’re not going to make it, but we had the belief in ourselves, and even in the toughest situations this season, we really, really stuck together.
“Probably even more in those situations, so we had that belief, and we just kept on fighting, in the end we got there – even better like that!”
Odegaard will now be hoping to get his hands on yet more silverware at the Champions League final next weekend when the Gunners take on Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest.
