Bruno Fernandes shared a damning verdict on Arsenal after the Gunners’ win against Manchester United.
It was a very poor outing by Arsenal’s standards, but, somehow, the game was won.
Riccardo Calafiori scored the only goal of the game, converting a first-half corner to hand the Gunners all three points.
No Arsenal player stood out against Man United, which will be a concern for Mikel Arteta, who might also be alerted to what one of the opposition said post-match.

Bruno Fernandes highlights Arsenal’s problem
Bruno Fernandes was interviewed by Sky Sports after the fixture, where he gave an honest review of the game.
The Man United captain was satisfied by how his side ‘controlled’ the game, sharing his thoughts on how little Arsenal created going forward.
“We conceded a goal from a set piece early on, but from then on Arsenal didn’t create any chances,” Fernandes said.
“We created lots of chances and didn’t score, so we have to do better next time. We controlled the game well, we were good on the ball.”
The attacking midfielder wasn’t impressed by how Arsenal generated play, which was a fair assessment, as the Gunners failed to excite in the final third.
Unfortunately, the lack of creativity came at Viktor Gyokeres’ expense at Old Trafford, as the new signing was unable to mark his Premier League debut with a goal.

Manchester United dominated Arsenal
The biggest concern from the lack of creativity is how it impacts Gyokeres and his confidence.
Though there are no concerns about the Swede, who was bright when given a chance to be involved in the game, Arsenal’s attackers need to step up to better support their new teammate.
| Man United | Statistic | Arsenal |
| 61% | Possession | 39% |
| 22 | Shots | 9 |
| 2 | Goalkeeper saves | 7 |
| 476 | Passes | 296 |
Aside from that, the Gunners need to take the performance as something to learn from, as United were the better team on paper.
Ruben Amorim’s side dominated the affair, recording more possession and firing significantly more chances on goal.
It’s food for thought for Arteta, who, above all, will be delighted that his side won.
