Arsenal picked up a deserved 2-0 win against Olympiacos in the Champions League.

The Greek giants have inflicted some serious pain on the Gunners over the years, winning the previous three meetings between the two sides at the Emirates.

The pressure was on Mikel Arteta’s men to end that terrible streak, and goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka helped them achieve that goal.

The Arsenal manager was a happy man after the game, but there was one moment when he was really angry on the touchline.

William Saliba has had a great week at Arsenal.

The Frenchman penned a new five-year contract at the Emirates, thus ending all the speculation that he could leave the club.

On Wednesday night, Saliba started in the heart of the defence next to Gabriel Magalhaes, and for the most part, he had a solid game.

However, just before Arsenal’s opener, the former Saint-Etienne man misjudged a header inside the box, and that gave the visitors an opportunity to score.

Thankfully, nothing came from that chance, but Arteta was absolutely livid on the touchline.

Football London reported the incident: “Arteta was furious and assistant coach Gabriel Heinze also wade in as the managerial duo looked to tighten things up at the back.

“During the discussions with Saliba, Arteta also seemed to indicate that he wanted the Frenchman to make himself available as quickly as possible when Raya was in possession.”

Arsenal just don’t get enough credit for how good they have been in the Champions League.

Since the start of last season, the Gunners have been sensational, especially in the league phase of the competition at the Emirates.

Despite the minor lapse in concentration by Saliba, Arsenal’s defensive record remains intact, and as long as they can keep it that way, they will be an incredibly difficult team to stop.
