Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was not entirely happy with his side’s performance against Crystal Palace.
The Gunners faced the Eagles in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night, and they were absolutely brilliant in the first half. They were all over Palace and should’ve scored at least two goals before the break.
Walter Benitez kept the visitors in the game, and just as everyone expected Arsenal to go up a level in the second half, they began to underperform.
Arteta was far from pleased on the touchline with many of his players, including Noni Madueke.

‘Furious’ Mikel Arteta screamed at Noni Madueke during Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Madueke was one of Arsenal’s most dangerous players in the first half.
The England international had two big chances to open the scoring, but his shots were saved by Benitez in the Palace goal.
After the break, like many of his teammates, Madueke’s level dropped, and he began to make a few mistakes.
Arteta is animated at the best of times on the touchline, and after seeing how his side started the second period, the Arsenal manager was raging.

After having a go at a few other players, Arteta screamed at Madueke too, reveals Simon Collings, who was at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Telegraph journalist tweeted during the second half: “Mikel Arteta is becoming increasingly furious on the touchline here.
“Throwing his arms around, screaming at his players. I think Madueke was his latest target.
“Palace have been the better side since the break.”
How much will Noni Madueke be worth in 2030?
Noni Madueke’s major problem has not gone away
Madueke has proven many people wrong since joining Arsenal.
The former Chelsea man has impressed everybody with his skills and tricks down the right flank, and he has been providing sufficient cover for Bukayo Saka.
Although Madueke plays with more flair than the Arsenal number seven, his decision-making and end product are nowhere near that of his compatriot.
Madueke missed two big chances against Palace. That needs to improve, but the fact that he is getting in the right positions is a good sign.
With time, we think the 23-year-old’s end product will get better. That is when he will become one of the best wingers in the Premier League.
