Arsenal beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the Premier League.
The visitors have had a great start to the season. They were level on points with the Gunners going into the game, and many people felt this could be a tricky afternoon.
However, Arsenal absolutely dominated Forest from the very first minute. They were all over the visitors and gave away almost no chances.
Santo has delivered his verdict on the game following his side’s defeat.
Nuno Espirito Santo says three Arsenal players hurt Nottingham Forest
Mikel Arteta surprised Arsenal fans with his team selection ahead of the game against Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners boss benched Kai Havertz, Thomas Partey and Gabriel Martinelli. Even Declan Rice did not start as Arsenal didn’t want to take any risks with his injured toe.
That got many supporters worried, but almost every player who played against Forest delivered.
Bukayo Saka opened the scoring with a great goal in the first half. Thomas Partey’s screamer doubled Arsenal’s lead and Ethan Nwaneri then put the icing on the cake late in the game.
Santo couldn’t do anything but put his hands up and accept defeat – Arsenal were just too good for Forest and deservedly won the game.
In his post-match press conference, Santo claimed three Arsenal players gave his side all sorts of problems at the Emirates.
When asked how difficult Arsenal made it for his men, he said, as per Football London: “A lot. Quality players when they are involved in the game it becomes harder.
“Odegaard is one of them. Trossard created problems and Saka created problems. You cannot give time to players to decide so freely.”

Who was the Man of the Match in Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest?
As we said earlier, a number of Arsenal players performed brilliantly against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.
Saka is a strong contender for the Man of the Match award, while the likes of Mikel Merino, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori all performed brilliantly as well.
However, if we had to pick the best player on the pitch, it’s an easy decision – Martin Odegaard.
The Norwegian ran the show from the first minute of the game. Nottingham Forest’s players couldn’t get anywhere near him and he is the reason why Arsenal were so dominant.
Odegaard’s return is massive for Arsenal. He has picked up two assists in his last two games, and we’re sure that tally will increase significantly in the coming weeks and months.
