Arsenal player ratings vs Wolves

Aaron Ramsdale: 7/10

The Englishman was called into action only at the end of the game. He didn’t have a lot to do, but he was at the end of a strong challenge from Adama Traore. Thankfully, he’s OK.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: 7/10

Zinchenko’s return is a welcome boost for Arsenal. His quality when he tucks in is tremendous, but he’s still getting back to full fitness. He’ll be fresh when Premier League football returns after the World Cup.

Gabriel Magalhaes: 7.5/10

Gabriel is usually overshadowed by Saliba’s brilliance, but he was the better centre-half today. His block after his partner’s mistake was crucial, and he should be happy with his display.

William Saliba: 6/10

This was arguably Saliba’s worst game in an Arsenal shirt. He was sloppy on more than one occasion and almost gifted Wolves a goal at one point. Thankfully, it didn’t cost us.

Ben White: 8/10

What a wonderful footballer White is. He has gone from strength to strength at right-back, and his composure at the back, even in difficult situations, is absolutely exceptional.

Thomas Partey: 7.5/10

The Ghanaian is so important to the way we play. He’s excellent on the ball, positionally brilliant and his presence in the middle of our park makes us a very solid side.

Fabio Vieira: 8.5/10 (on for Granit Xhaka)

Vieira was brought into the game in place of Granit Xhaka in the first half. He took some time to get going, but his fantastic assist made the difference today.

There’s still a lot more to come from him, but he should be really pleased with his display tonight.

Bukayo Saka: 7/10

A difficult game for Saka tonight. Wolves defended the wide areas very well and gave almost no space for our starboy to do what he does best. He did work really hard throughout the game.

Martin Odegaard: 9/10

Captain fantastic! Odegaard was excellent today, especially in the second half. His quality on the ball is just magnificent and it’s great to see him on the scoresheet – twice. Match winner!

Gabriel Martinelli: 7.5/10

Very similar to Saka, it wasn’t an easy game for the young Brazilian. He was closed down very quickly, which limited his impact on the game. However, he played a big part in the build up to Odegaard’s second goal, which put the game beyond any doubt.

Gabriel Jesus: 7.5/10

The goal drought continues, but another solid display by the Brazilian. He worked tirelessly as always, but he just couldn’t get that ball in the back of the net. A change in environment for a few weeks will hopefully do him a world of good.
