Arsenal picked up an impressive 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League at the Emirates last night and here are our player ratings.

Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fabio Vieira gave us all three points, and just like in the Premier League, we’re on top of the table in our Europa League group as well.

Arsenal player ratings vs Bodo/Glimt

The 3-0 scoreline suggests that Arsenal absolutely battered Bodo/Glimt, but that’s not true at all. The Norwegian outfit made us work incredibly hard and caused us all sorts of problems in the second half.

However, we weathered the storm and picked up a well-deserved victory in the end.

Here are our player ratings…

Matt Turner: 8.5/10

The American made his home debut last night and he picked up a very impressive clean sheet. Turner pulled off two excellent saves to keep the visitors at bay, and although his distribution still needs work, he should be pleased with his display.

Takehiro Tomiyasu: 7/10

A solid night for our Japan international in both full-back positions. Tomiyasu was excellent at right-back – both in attack and defensively. After Kieran Tierney went off, he slotted in effortlessly on the opposite side, showing off his versatility.

Rob Holding: 9/10

Holding was given a start against Bodo/Glimt last night and the Englishman was superb. He was excellent defensively, very calm in possession, and to top it all off, he scored a fine goal to double our lead. Excellent performance!

Gabriel Magalhaes: 8/10

After his error in the North London derby against Tottenham last weekend, Gabriel stepped up with a fine performance in Europe. He was solid at the back and was a nuisance in the opposite box. He should be very pleased with his display.

Kieran Tierney: 8.5/10

The Scotsman replaced Oleksandr Zinchenko in the side last night, and he arguably had his best game of the season. He was brilliant at both ends of the pitch and was very unlucky to not score. A fine performance nonetheless.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: 7/10

A quiet yet assured display by the young Belgian in the base of our midfield last night. Lokonga is our only alternative to Thomas Partey in the middle of the park, and although he wasn’t quite as sensational as the Ghanaian, he was solid for most parts of the game.

Granit Xhaka: 7.5/10

Skipper on the night, Xhaka impressed once again. He’s really thriving in that more advanced role and could’ve easily scored a couple of goals last night. A really good performance!

Marquinhos: 6/10

A difficult evening for the young Brazilian on that right flank. He started off the game with a couple of loose passes and never quite recovered after that. He’s still very young and he’ll surely improve in the coming months.

Fabio Vieira: 8/10

We’re really, really excited about this man. Vieira started in Martin Odegaard’s number 10 role and impressed. He should’ve given us the lead early in the game, but his shot hit the crossbar and went out. However, he made amends later on with a delightful assist to Holding and a goal for himself in the end. Excellent!

Gabriel Martinelli: 7/10

The young Brazilian looks better and better every time we see him. He’s just so mature now and his decision-making has improved so much compared to last season. Another solid display.

Eddie Nketiah: 8/10

When Nketiah starts, Nketiah scores. That has been a theme of sorts recently, with the Englishman scoring 12 goals for Arsenal in his last 15 starts in all competitions. He should’ve scored again late in the game, but he should be happy with his display.
