Arsenal are preparing for their eighth and final game of the Champions League league phase, taking on Girona next up.
The Gunners need just one point from the match to ensure a place in the top-eight, which would see the side avoid adding to their busy schedule with a two-legged play-off match in February.
Girona won’t go down without a fight in the Champions League though, looking to sign off in style from the competition, having already been knocked out with just three points accrued so far.
Arsenal will take on some familiar faces though, one of which is still a current Tottenham player in the Spanish team’s ranks.

Arsenal face Tottenham star Bryan Gil at Girona
Girona have plenty of familiar faces in their ranks, such as former Manchester United defender Daley Blind and ex-Southampton and former Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Joining them in the ranks of those who have played in the Premier League is Tottenham ace Bryan Gil.
Once revered as a great future prospect, the Lilywhites jumped to secure the winger from Sevilla in the hope that he would progress with them.
A lack of game time and struggles in adapting to the English league has seen him sent out on loan, joining Girona.
While still on the books at Tottenham, he could cause a few problems for their North London rivals, Arsenal.

If Gil is able to cause those problems for Arsenal, then it could result in them failing to complete a top-eight finish.
In turn, that could compile the misery by forcing Mikel Arteta into playing two more unwanted Champions League ties.
As a result, the Gunners will be looking to do everything they can to get that point they need to get them over the line.

Bryan Gil’s record vs Arsenal
During his career so far, Gil has featured in four squads to take on Arsenal, but has only made two short appearances in the North London Derby.
The winger has played just 22 minutes against the Gunners, failing to score or assist in that short time he has had.

The 23-year-old will be looking to add a third appearance and a goal involvement or two to that list with the huge match ahead.
