Arsenal fans think the number ten role has unlocked Bukayo Saka
Arsenal fans think the number ten role has unlocked Bukayo Saka following his eighth goal of the season against Wolves.
Declan Rice picked out his Arsenal teammate perfectly in the penalty area, with the vice-captain taking full advantage of his new central role.
The midfielder’s cross was inch-perfect, and Saka headed home from close range to give the Gunners the lead after just five minutes.
Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta said Saka loved playing in midfield, and it’s clear that the 24-year-old could now play there long-term.
Following his goal at Molineux, Arsenal fans took to social media to praise Saka’s movement for the goal and are excited to see him play there more often.
One fan said: “I think Bukayo Saka in the ten role is going to unlock a whole new level to his game, he’s going to have so much freedom it’s going to be scary, but not for us Arsenal fans.”
“I think Saka as number ten will unlock many things, but let’s see how it goes. First Premier League game as a ten and he scored,” added another Gunner.

A third claimed: “Saka in the ten might be the key to unlock our quadruple challenge. That movement for the goal was class!”
There was yet more praise for the Arsenal attacker: “Saka in the ten is going to be problematic for opponents.”
Finally, another thinks it could spell bad news for Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze: “Saka and Havertz at the ten, showing up Eze and Odegaard in the Prem, a bit embarrassing for them…”
Arsenal will need to rotate him, but perhaps in the big games, Odegaard and Eze may now find themselves missing out due to Saka starting centrally.
Alan Smith hails Bukayo Saka in the number ten
Just like the Arsenal fans, Alan Smith was also impressed by Saka’s goal, and he believes the number ten role will unlock him.
“It must have been some time for Bukayo Saka to have that feeling of the ball hitting the back of the net,” Smith told Sky Sports.
“I said playing in the 10 might just free him up, just lift him a little bit and enable him to get into positions he wouldn’t start on the right-hand side.”
