The Hale End product became the youngest Premier League goal scorer as he pounced on Jordan Pickford’s error to run the ball into an empty net.
The Emirates Stadium erupted as the teenager announced himself to the Premier League, and after, Gyokeres praised him.
When asked about the talent of Dowman, Gyokeres told Sky Sports: “It’s incredible! You can see how he plays; he plays so calmly and without fear every time he gets the ball.
“I think he takes the right decisions most of the time as well, so you can see for the goal, he definitely took the right one.
