Leif Davis was sent off for Ipswich Town against Arsenal in the Premier League, and Gunners fans were furious with the one moment about the incident.
With Arsenal two goals to the good at Kenilworth Road thanks to Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli withion the first 28 minutes – the game was pretty much over before it started for the home side.
However, misery was compiled for The Tractor Boys when left-back Leif Davis was given a straight red by match official Chris Kavanagh for a tackle on Bukayo Saka.
It was a moment of madness from the Englishman – a deserved dismissal. But as bad as the challenge was, the crowd’s reaction also didn’t help.

Gunners supporters couldn’t help but show disgust to Ipswich supporters clapping off Davis after his dangerous challenge to Saka’s achilles.
One said: ‘What a ridiculous challenge from Leif Davis. Always a red. But it just goes to show how tribal football fans are. Ipswich fans clapping him off like he’s the victim and hasn’t just shafted his side’s chances for the rest of the afternoon.’
Another adds: ‘Leif Davis with an absolute cowards tackle there. No idea why the Ipswich fans are clapping the s——-.
‘Leif Davis applauded off by fans by being a coward and getting the easy way out,’ says one more.
Yet another states: ‘Leif Davis straight red for a needless reckless tackle on Saka. Why is he applauded off by the home fans, madness.’
One more puts, explaining yet another issue: ‘Clapping Leif Davis off and booing Saka highlights exactly why the majority of football fans can’t be objective. Genuine madness to see Saka as the villain here.’
Even Piers Morgan weighed in on the challenge, stating his disgust with the boo’s for Saka and the applause for Davis.

It was also noted that Saka was booed by the Ipswich faithful after ‘getting Davis sent off’. This further annoyed Gunners fans.
Another adds: ‘Most blatant red card challenge on Saka and he’s getting booed… glad Ipswich are going down! d——- fans!’
One more puts: ‘Saka being booed for almost getting his Achilles snapped lol.’
It was a clear red card, and fans do have a reason to be annoyed, and more so perplexed, about the Ipswich supporters’ reactions.
