Eberechi Eze will be a frustrated man despite Arsenal’s 2-0 win against West Ham United.

The Gunners were in complete control of the game from start to finish. They dominated the Irons at the Emirates Stadium.

Declan Rice scored against his former club in the first half, and Bukayo Saka then doubled the lead after Jurrien Timber won a penalty.

Eze had a decent game, but he missed a big chance to score.

Mikel Arteta surprised many people by naming both Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard in his midfield.

Adrian Clarke suggested that Martin Zubimendi could be dropped for the two attacking midfielders to start, and he was spot on.

Eze played as a left-sided number 10, and in what was the first big chance of the game, he found himself in a glorious position inside the box.

However, the former Crystal Palace star fired his shot over the bar from close distance.

“Eze has missed a sitter,” said Clinton Morrison on Sky Sports.

The Arsenal number 10 was visibly upset after failing to convert the chance. He had his hands on his head, almost like he couldn’t believe that he had missed.

Leandro Trossard, who initially seemed surprised by the miss, ran over to Eze, gave him a hug and appeared to motivate him.

That was a classy move and shows just how strong the bond between players is – even those who are fighting for the same positions on the pitch.

Eberechi Eze’s responsibility at Arsenal could be about to increase

Arsenal signed eight new players in the summer, but nobody raised the excitement levels among the fans as much as Eze.

It was a fairytale return for the England international to North London, and everyone is desperate to see him succeed.

The debate among many supporters was about how Arteta would fit both Eze and Odegaard at the same time to get the best out of them as number 10s.

The Arsenal manager showed how against West Ham, but unfortunately, Odegaard suffered an injury that does not look good.

If the Arsenal captain is sidelined for a few games, the responsibility on Eze’s shoulders will increase significantly. But we are sure that he will handle it well.
