Bukayo Saka is the highest-rated player in the Premier League this season

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table, but we haven’t really been at our best this season, have we?

Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in the country, but he too hasn’t hit his usual level yet. However, the youngster’s numbers look absolutely phenomenal.

The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions. That is 23 direct goal contributions in 29 appearances, which is a sensational return.

Now, WhoScored have revealed that Saka is the highest-rated player in the entire Premier League based on his performances this season.

He has an average rating of 7.58, which is higher than everybody else in the English top-flight, including the likes of Erling Haaland (7.53), Mohamed Salah (7.47) and Heung-min Son (7.40).

Not bad for a player who’s having a bad season!

Bukayo Saka looked much better for Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

Right from the start of the game last night, you could tell that Bukayo Saka was on it.

The Arsenal winger has had a difficult time against teams that deploy a low block this season, but he was fearless yesterday and tried to take his opponent on every time he got an opportunity.

In the second half, Saka got his goal – a brilliant strike with his weaker right foot to beat former Gunner Matt Turner in the Forest goal.

This is a great sign for Arsenal, and if Saka can play at his usual level against Liverpool this weekend, we could make a real statement in the title race.
