Darren Bent has predicted Aaron Ramsdale to leave Arsenal this summer after Mikel Arteta’s decision to sign David Raya.
The Basque coach made the surprising decision last year to sign Raya on loan from Brentford, with Arsenal having an option to buy the Spanish international for good this summer.
With Raya since replacing Ramsdale despite the £30m England international becoming a star for Arsenal since his move to north London in 2021, the former Sheffield United star’s future with the Gunners looks uncertain, to say the least.
Aaron Ramsdale tipped to leave Arsenal after ‘problem’ Mikel Arteta caused

And speaking on Premier League Productions, pundit Bent has now predicted Ramsdale to leave Arsenal this summer, with Arteta causing a problem that few fans would have envisioned at the start of the season.
Bent said on Ramsdale’s future: “What Arteta has done at Arsenal is superb. There aren’t too many things that you can criticise him for. This is one instance where I would go that he has caused this problem.
“He has brought in David Raya, who has been fantastic, you can’t hide the fact that he has made, at one stage, both goalkeepers very nervous and Aaron Ramsdale is suffering from that badly, at the minute.
“Unfortunately, this is the position he is in. He is going to learn from that. He probably won’t be at Arsenal next season because he is too good to be sitting on somebody’s bench.”
Aaron Ramsdale’s treatment has been unfair this season

Not one Arsenal fan could have predicted what Arteta was going to do with the goalkeeping position this season after Ramsdale’s sensational year last term for the Gunners.
The 25-year-old keeper was one of Arsenal’s best players last season as Ramsdale took his game to new heights, with the England international looking primed to once again go up another level this year.
However, football is an unpredictable game, and whilst Raya has been good for Arsenal this season, the treatment of Ramsdale has not sat well with many fans this campaign, with the shot-stopper a favourite at the Emirates.
