Arsenal star Fabio Vieira started the season well, but has struggled in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old has found himself in and out of the team, and could not build upon his bright start to the campaign.
Despite injuries to Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard, he has struggled for game time recently, and his lack of minutes is set to continue as he will now miss the next three league games through suspension following his red card against Burnley.
Fabio Vieira slammed for red card
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Paul Brown has now claimed that Vieira’s red card was the last thing he needed at this moment in time.
“Vieira is probably kicking himself that it didn’t go well. I’m sure he wants to start every week in that team,” he stated.
“The worst possible thing for him was to get a red card and be suspended. It takes any momentum he was trying to build away. He must start from scratch again now.
“He’s been a bit of an outsider looking in at times because of all the other players in the team competing for his position. So, he knows he’s up against it this season. I think he’ll still get chances; he must be patient.”
Fabio Vieira’s struggles

Although he has shown flashes of his quality, Vieira has not been able to build consistency at Arsenal.
This is partly due to Mikel Arteta constantly rotating him out of the side when he is in form, but he has not taken his opportunities well in recent weeks, and his red card was particularly frustrating given that the upcoming fixtures could have seen him be given more chances.
Vieira featured in the under-21 side on Tuesday as they were heavily beaten by Reading, with the £45k-a-week star both scoring and missing penalties on what was a frustrating night for him.
He will now hope that with Arsenal on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League, that he can use the final two group fixtures to build up some momentum again to begin thriving in North London.
