Myles Lewis-Skelly is getting a lot of attention right now after being omitted from the England squad.
The Arsenal academy product is having a tougher season than many would’ve expected due to a lack of game time.
As a result of the role he’s taken up on the bench, Thomas Tuchel did not call Lewis-Skelly up to the England squad for the November international break.
Following his incredible breakthrough year, Lewis-Skelly is now in the thick of a unique experience in his Arsenal career, with the timing far from ideal with the World Cup in sight.

Alan Pardew predicts what Myles Lewis-Skelly is feeling right now
Every player dreams of representing their country on a stage as high as the World Cup, particularly the younger members of the squad.
With everything relying on Lewis-Skelly’s minutes at Arsenal, the 19-year-old’s chances of making the England squad are under threat, which is something Alan Pardew recently discussed.
On talkSPORT, the former Premier League manager was speaking about the ins and outs of Tuchel’s squad right now, which is when he raised the frustration Lewis-Skelly must be feeling.
“Obviously, now kicking these heels, you know, a super young player who’s fit and well, so frustrating for him.”
Pardew added that the teenager, “did so well last season as well,” which only makes his current situation all the more painful.
With Riccardo Calafiori currently Mikel Arteta’s favoured left-back, and Piero Hincapie’s form building, the conversation has even turned to what the immediate future could hold for Lewis-Skelly.
Do Arsenal have loan plans for Myles Lewis-Skelly?
Tuchel has made it clear to the Hale End product that if game time doesn’t increase, his chances of a call-up will decrease.
While a lot is riding on the teenager’s minutes, Arsenal Insider understand that the Gunners have no plans to send Lewis-Skelly out on loan in January.

That being said, Arsenal’s stance hasn’t stopped others from talking about a potential winter loan exit for the Englishman.
Darren Bent thinks Lewis-Skelly would thrive at Everton, but the discussion is just too premature, given that we are still only 11 matches into the Premier League season.
The minutes will come for Lewis-Skelly, that’s for sure, but whether there will be enough to warrant a World Cup space is yet to be seen.
