Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe has been named in Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.
The 20-year-old, who’s been sensational for the Gunners since making his breakthrough earlier this season, starred in the North London derby win at the weekend.
Deployed on the left of attack, Smith Rowe didn’t take long to show what he was capable of, drifting inside and rattling the woodwork in the opening 15 minutes.

The Hale End gem had arguably his best game for the Gunners, linking up superbly with Kieran Tierney, showing great control, and making numerous key passes.
Indeed, it’s no coincidence that Arsenal lost some of that control when he went off.

And ESR’s efforts were recognised by Shearer, who selected him in his TOTW – the only Arsenal player to make the cut.
“Man of the Match in his first north London derby. Absolutely outstanding,” wrote the Premier League legend.
Strangely, Shearer didn’t name Tierney in the XI, and the less said about his baffling choice on the right side of attack, the better…
