Bukayo Saka has had an interesting season at Arsenal so far.

The England international is one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players, and he has delivered in the biggest moments over the years.

However, this season, Saka’s output is not where it needs to be, and that is proving to be a big concern for the fans.

Alan Shearer has now had his say on the situation.

Is there any current player you love more than Bukayo Saka, if yes, who and why?

Alan Shearer demands a change from Arsenal star Bukayo Saka

If Bukayo Saka has a good game, Arsenal usually come away with a victory.

That is how important the 24-year-old is to the Gunners, and he has produced several good performances this season already.

But Saka’s numbers don’t reflect his performances.

The Arsenal number seven has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 31 games this season. His last goal in the Premier League came against Brentford in the first game of December.

Shearer thinks that has to change if Arsenal want to win the title.

Speaking about Arsenal’s stats in the Premier League, he said on the Rest is Football podcast: “They’re going to have to start scoring more goals, there’s no doubt.

“I mean, because [Viktor] Gyokeres (hasn’t scored in) five, I mean, Saka hasn’t scored for what, 12 or 13 games, as some of the others haven’t either. That has to improve. There’s no doubt about it. Those guys have to start scoring in between now and the end of the season. They’re two good players.

“Something has to change with Saka. Saka’s an amazing player, as we know that. But in terms of assists or goals, they haven’t worked for a while. That has to change; he’s too good for that.”

Bukayo Saka could start firing because of one Arsenal player

Shearer is right, Saka is too good to have only scored seven goals this season.

The England international will know that he needs to improve his output in the coming months, and one player could help him do that – Kai Havertz.

The German returned to the starting lineup for the first time in a year against Kairat, and he made everyone around him better.

With Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze out of form, Havertz’s movement as the right-sided number eight could free up Saka.

That should get the best out of him and increase his goals and assists tally in the final months of the campaign.
