Alessandro Del Piero backs Arsenal to beat PSG or Bayern Munich
Alessandro Del Piero believes that in a one-off match, Arsenal can beat Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
The Italian legend acknowledged that Bayern and PSG both have attackers who could really hurt the Gunners; however, in a final, ‘anything can happen’.
Speaking on Sky Sport: “PSG and Bayern have three, if not four, players who can do whatever they want. They constantly create one-on-one situations.
“You can say whatever you want, but when you have Dembele, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia, or whoever it may be, right, left, centre, these players are fast, they’re strong, they can dribble, they can shoot, they know how to score. Bayern are the same. So it will be a completely different kind of match.
👀 Do we all owe Viktor Gyokeres an apology after his performances against Fulham and Atletico?
👏 Three goals in three games and three top performances!
“The positive thing for Arsenal is that it’s a final, because in my opinion, over two legs, they wouldn’t have survived against either PSG or Bayern. In a final against Paris Saint-Germain, anything can happen.
“There can be a red card, one player can have a terrible game, one of your players can have the game of his life. There are so many dynamics because emotion and pressure come into it.”
PSG could be a good opponent for Arsenal as they will be looking to exact revenge for last season’s defeat at the semi-final stage.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have already beaten Bayern 3-1 this season, and they will be confident of doing the same again in the final.
