Alexis Sanchez congratulates Arsenal on Premier League title
Alexis Sanchez has just sent a message of congratulations to Arsenal on winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
The former Chilean international has expressed his love for the club and the supporters in a message after the title win.
Sanchez was a hugely popular figure at the Emirates Stadium following his move from Barcelona, and it’s great to see him still supporting the club.
Speaking on Sevilla’s social media account, Sanchez said: “Hello Gunners, sending you a big hug. You know that I love you a lot.
The Premier League trophy is dressed in red and white after 22 years. How does this make you feel?
“Congratulations to all the players and all the fans for winning the Premier League. Much love, Alexis Sanchez.”
The former Gunner came close to winning the Premier League with the club back in 2016 when they finished runners-up to Leicester City.
Sanchez proved to be one of the best signings Arsenal have made in many years, after producing 80 goals and 44 assists in 166 matches for the Gunners.
The Chilean international would almost certainly start for this current Arsenal team, who would love to have another attacker with the quality of Alexis.
The 37-year-old is still plying his trade at the top level of Spanish football, having just made 29 appearances for Sevilla this season.
