Ally McCoist has now given his verdict on Arsenal winning the Premier League title after watching Saturday’s 4-1 win against Newcastle United.

The north London side extended their winning streak in the league to six games, with Arsenal now just two points off Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings.

Arsenal are in unstoppable form and are showing no sign of slowing down, and there’s now growing belief amongst supporters and pundits that the Gunners could go all the way having fallen short last season.

And speaking on TalkSport, McCoist has now given his verdict on Arsenal winning the Premier League title, with the Scottish pundit blown away by what he saw from the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

McCoist said when asked about Arsenal’s realistic chances of winning the Premier League this season: “I was there on Saturday night, they’ve got a chance.

“I thought the first-half performance was as strong as any side I’ve seen all season, if I’m brutally honest with you. I think bizarrely, this might sound crazy, I think it might suit them that there’s more than one team challenging. From a mental approach, it might just take a little bit of pressure off them.

“Also, Odegaard’s been brilliant, Saka’s been brilliant, the front players have been different class, but I think the key to them moving on and continuing to progress, believe it or not, is the two centre-backs. I think as we saw last year, if you lose one of them, you can’t handle it.”

Arsenal should believe they can win the lot this season

Whilst Arsenal currently trail in the UEFA Champions League against FC Porto, there’s no reason to believe the Gunners can’t dream of succeeding in both Europe and the Premier League.

The north London side have been nothing short of remarkable in recent weeks, with Arsenal scoring goals for fun and keeping them out with ease.

And the squad should now feel confident in achieving something quite remarkable this season, with the Premier League and Champions League two achievable goals for the Gunners this year.
