Andrea Berta has done an incredible job since joining Arsenal.
The Italian replaced Edu Gaspar to become the club’s new sporting director in March last year, and he has solved a lot of problems since.
Berta signed eight new players in the summer, and he also extended the contracts of players like William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ethan Nwaneri.
Now, another player has put pen to paper on a new deal – Max Dowman.
Is there a bigger teenage prodigy at Arsenal right now than Max Dowman? 🌟
Oxlade-Chamberlain can't believe Dowman's talent…
Max Dowman signs Arsenal scholarship contract
Dowman is the most exciting young player at Arsenal right now.
The teenager, who turned 16 just last month, is viewed by many as a superstar in the making, and almost every big club in the world would love to sign him.
However, Dowman is Arsenal through and through, and he has now shown his commitment to the club.
BBC Sport have revealed that the Gunners’ academy star has penned a scholarship deal at the Emirates Stadium. The deal has been reported as ‘completed’.
Following this, Dowman is expected to sign his first professional contract at Arsenal once he turns 17 in December 2026.
This is excellent news for Arteta’s side, as if there was any uncertainty over his future, we’re sure that the biggest teams on the planet would be queueing up for his signature now.
Now that this is no longer an issue, Dowman can focus on recovering from his injury and returning to action as soon as possible.

What Max Dowman needs to do now to get a Premier League winners’ medal
Despite the struggles recently, Arsenal remain the favourites to win the Premier League title this season ahead of Manchester City.
If the Gunners do go all the way and become the champions, their players will all get a winners’ medal, but Dowman hasn’t qualified just yet.
Premier League rules state that a player must have made five appearances in the league for a title-winning side to get a medal.
Dowman has, so far, played two times for Arsenal in the Premier League, which means he needs three more appearances to be eligible for a winners’ medal should the Gunners become champions.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal manager Arteta will give him that opportunity once he returns from his injury.
