Arsenal face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final at the Bernabeu.

Mikel Arteta has trusted the same eleven players to complete the job in Spain as the ones that demolished the holders 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium with goals from Declan Rice and Mikel Merino.

Arsenal have had heartbreak in Spain before but the Gunners will be desperate to put the past behind them and produce a rear-guard performance to see them into the Champions League semi final.

Rio Ferdinand praised Jakub Kiwior in the build up to the game and fellow pundit Martin Keown has also made a bold claim about another Arsenal star.

Martin Keown reveals Thomas Partey Arsenal verdict

Speaking on TNT Sports pre match coverage of Arsenal’s clash with Real Madrid, former Gunners defender Keown had high praise for Thomas Partey this season.

Keown stated: “Again, he is having his best season in an Arsenal shirt.”

Partey has finally enjoyed an injury-free season since arriving from Atletico Madrid and has made 45 appearances across all competitions.

His goal against Brentford in the Premier League was his fourth of the season from midfield and he has also contributed three assists along the way.

Andrea Berta has decision to make on Thomas Partey future

Partey is expected to leave Arsenal in the summer as new sporting director Andrea Berta is yet to offer the midfielder a new contract which expires in June.

Barcelona is Partey’s priority but the Ghanaian is sure to have plenty of offers from around Europe as he has produced such magnificent performances this campaign.

The Gunners are looking to replace Partey with Martin Zubimendi but with Jorginho also set to leave the club, it would leave a big hole in the centre of the park.

A striker is the priority in the summer transfer window but there could also be a lot of movement in and out of North London in the midfield area.
