Arsenal and Man City’s next five fixtures compared as title run-in begins

The final international break of the season is over, and Arsenal and Manchester City now enter the business end of the season as they fight for the Premier League title – here’s a look at their next five fixtures.

The Gunners are currently eight points clear at the top of the table. Manchester City, however, have a game in hand, and Pep Guardiola will back his side to close the distance very, very quickly.

But how do Arsenal and Manchester City‘s fixture lists look? Let us tell you!

Arsenal and Manchester City’s next five Premier League fixtures

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta‘s men begin the title run-in with a home game against Leeds United on Saturday.

That is followed by a huge clash against Liverpool at Anfield. Arsenal haven’t won there for over a decade, but we just have to find a way to get a result this time around.

We then travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United in the derby, before hosting another relegation-threatened side in Southampton.

The biggest game of our season comes up next. Arsenal take on Manchester City at the Etihad in our penultimate game of April. Many view this fixture as the title decider.

Manchester City

City have a game in hand over Arsenal as we head into the business end of the season. Pep Guardiola’s side take on Liverpool first this Saturday and that will not be an easy game. Jurgen Klopp’s men have already beaten them once – let’s hope they can do it again.

City take on Southampton at home next before facing Leicester City. The clash against the Foxes comes in between their two huge games against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

City’s next fixture in the Premier League will be the big one against Arsenal. Hopefully, we’ll be 10 points clear by that stage and the game won’t matter as much.

Then, the defending champions will face high-flyers Fulham. The Whites were awful against us, but if they play to their full potential, they could cause City a problem or two.

Arsenal and Manchester City’s next five games look fairly similar, but the Cityzens’ Champions League and FA Cup commitments could act as a distraction. That could give us an edge in the title race.
