Arsenal are still in all four competitions and club legend Ashley Cole believes there’s no reason why they can’t win a historic quadruple.
The Gunners are top of the table by seven points and unbeaten in the Champions League, while they also have the EFL Cup final to look forward to this month.
No English team has ever managed such a feat. However, Ashley Cole believes a quadruple has to be in Arsenal’s mind.
Arsenal need to make one major sale this summer. Who are you selling and for how much?
Odegaard, White, Martinelli or someone else?
Ashley Cole backs Arsenal to win a historic quadruple
Cole knows a thing or two about winning trophies and was part of the famous Invincibles team before going on to have more success with Chelsea.
And speaking to Hayters TV, Cole believes Arsenal can indeed win all four trophies.
“Why not?” Cole replied when asked if Arsenal could do the quadruple. “I think the players seem to have some sort of belief, the manager has a belief. And slowly but surely, they’re winning game after game. And if they can continue that form and have that belief, nothing is impossible in football. And certainly, you have the feeling of getting the first one over the line.

“I’m not too sure which competition comes first, but they get that feeling of the first win and then who knows what can happen. It breeds a lot of confidence when you win a trophy.
“So there’s a lot of players there that have not won trophies. So it would be important for them to get the first one over the line as quick as possible and then continue that run.”
Arsenal can join Celtic as the only team to win a ‘true quadruple’
Multiple teams have won four trophies in a season or calendar year but to win a ‘true quadruple’ it has to include the European Cup, both domestic cups, and the league title.
We’ve seen treble winning seasons from Man United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich but no club – barring Celtic in 1967 – has managed to win all three major domestic trophies and the Champions League at the same time.
If Tottenham get relegated, who will Arsenal’s biggest rivals be next season?
If Arsenal can somehow pull it off, it would write the club and Mikel Arteta into the history books.
As Cole says here, the first trophy is always the most important and giving the players that winning feeling can breed confidence.
We saw this years ago when Man United won a first trophy under Sir Alex Ferguson. It spiralled from there, and Arsenal will be hoping for much of the same.
