Arsenal could finally get their revenge on Chelsea for luring Ashley Cole away by signing Mason Mount this summer.

The Gunners and the Blues have a fierce rivalry. We don’t like them and they don’t like us, and the fact that a number of players have featured for both sides hasn’t really gone down well.

The one that hurts us the most is probably Ashley Cole, who left Arsenal and joined Chelsea in 2006. We can now finally get our revenge on the Blues.

Arsenal can finally get Ashley Cole revenge on Chelsea by signing Mason Mount

Ashley Cole was the best left-back in the world when he left us, and he became even better at Chelsea. He won everything there and retired as a Blues legend.

It was such a shame that we let him go and it still pains us when we think about it today.

Mikel Arteta and Edu could finally bring an end to that disappointment by signing one of Chelsea’s own academy graduates for Arsenal this summer – Mason Mount.

Goal reported a couple of weeks ago that Arsenal are interested in Mount and initial talks have already taken place to discuss a move to the Emirates before the start of next season.

Mount has just one year left on his contract at Chelsea, and a deal hasn’t been agreed yet. There is a big chance he could leave this summer, with The Guardian reporting that he could be sold for just £50 million.

The Insider’s View:

Arsenal have signed quite a few players from Chelsea over the last few years.

The likes of Petr Cech, David Luiz, Willian and now Jorginho have all come in, and although they all had good moments – well, not Willian – those signings didn’t really hurt Chelsea fans.

If Edu and Arteta can get Mount away from Stamford Bridge this summer, that will really cause pain to everyone who supports Chelsea, and that will be a joy for us Arsenal fans.

Mount is still only 24 and is a fantastic player. He has the potential to become a superstar in the coming years, and he’d be an amazing signing for us if we can get it done.
