Arsenal held Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium after an action-packed 90 minutes.
The Gunners were undone in the dying embers at the Etihad on match day five as Arsenal’s wait to take three points away to City continues.
First-half goals from Erling Haaland, Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori saw Mikel Arteta’s side lead at the interval however, the half-time team talk would have steered away from being ahead.
Leandro Trossard’s controversial red card before the half-time whistle saw the visitors reduced to 10 men, with Arsenal showing great resilience to maintain their lead until the final moments.
John Stones’ late equaliser saw the points shared at the Etihad, with one player impressing once more from Arteta’s camp.

Gabriel overtakes Darwin Nunez in scoring record after Man City draw
Gabriel was the star of the show when Arsenal beat Spurs in their away game prior to the draw against City.
Once again, the Brazilian shone for the Gunners, scoring on the road for the second consecutive game, as well as being solid defensively.
Despite being a centre-back, the attention on Gabriel came predominantly from his 16th Premier League career goal, which saw him overtake one Liverpool star in a surprise record.
With his goal against City, Gabriel recorded his fourth goal against the Premier League ‘big six’, overtaking Darwin Nunez’s record of three.
Considering that the Liverpool ace is a striker, it’s a tremendous feat for Gabriel to complete, with the numbers only reinforcing the Brazilian’s threat in the box.
Arsenal are difficult to stop from set pieces
Nicolas Jover has got the best out of Arsenal from dead-ball situations, with Gabriel being one of many players who are reaping the benefits from the set-piece coach.
The Gunners are difficult to contain all over the pitch under Arteta, with the squad growing in confidence from set play over the years as a result of Jover’s input.

This season it’s already been made clear just how hard it is to defend against Arsenal in the box, with each player having a role to play, seeing Gabriel join Kai Havertz as the squad’s top scorer so far this term.
Only time will tell if any side can figure out Arteta’s plan from set pieces, with City the latest victims of Jover’s excellence in the training ground with the North Londoners.
