Arsenal line up new January striker signing
The January transfer window offers a fresh chance for Mikel Arteta to strengthen his Arsenal team for the remainder of the season.
With only a couple of months until that market opens, the Gunners are putting in the groundwork to land some fresh faces.
One of those could be a striker as plenty of questions have persisted over the lack of a new centre-forward in recent weeks.
A name that has constantly been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium is Dusan Vlahovic, who previously turned down the opportunity to join the club.
However, according to TalkSPORT: “Arsenal will look to try and sign Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window again. A £50M price tag is being rumoured, with the striker into the final 18 months of his contract.”
It remains to be seen if the Arsenal hierarchy are willing to drop that money on a striker in the weeks ahead.

William Saliba red card appeal decision
Arsenal have made a decision surrounding a potential appeal of William Saliba’s red card that will see him suspended for the Liverpool clash this weekend.
The defender picked up a sending-off against Bournemouth for a pull on striker Evanilson as he went through on goal.
There were suggestions that Mikel Arteta and his side could appeal the decision that would’ve made him available to face Liverpool.
However, it appears as though the Gunners have decided against doing that, which will see Saliba serve his suspension this weekend.
Sky Sports reports that no appeal has been made, which means he will definitely make a return against Newcastle in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta admission on Jack Wilshere
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has discussed the influence of Jack Wilshere at the club as part of the youth coach setup.
The former midfielder looks set to leave the Gunners to join Norwich City as part of their first-team coaching setup.

Discussing Wilshere in his Shakhtar Donetsk press conference, Arteta said: “Every time that we had academy players and he was involved he’s been great.
“In terms of supporting the first team, in terms of bringing ideas, in terms of collaborating in everything that we wanted. I know him, we played together and we have a really good relationship.”
