Arsenal eye Alexander Isak transfer on one condition
Ahead of the January transfer window, Arsenal are still looking at potential transfer options to help bolster their ranks.
A centre-forward has been on the list for some time, with plenty of names linked to take up the role moving forward.
Among those is Alexander Isak, the Newcastle striker who was of interest at the Emirates Stadium back in his Real Sociedad days.
While his profile has risen considerably since, that interest remains and could be acted upon in the weeks ahead.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal continue to monitor the situation surrounding Isak but any move may depend on Edu Gaspar’s replacement.
Just over three years remain on the Swedish striker’s contract at Newcastle, which may make a deal awkward and expensive.

Portuguese media warn Arsenal of Viktor Gyokeres threat
Arsenal take on Sporting CP in the Champions League on Tuesday night in search of a huge three points toward their qualification hopes.
The Gunners are fresh off the back of a defeat to Inter Milan in the competition, while the Portuguese outfit recently thrashed Manchester City.
It sets up a tantalising tie with several storylines running at once, but one of the main themes is likely to be Viktor Gyokeres.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent month, but he could make them pay the price for not already signing him.
So much so, the Portuguese media have already outlined his threat, labelling him a “monster” that the side must look out for.

Alan Shearer gives verdict on Ethan Nwaneri
After scoring his first Premier League goal, plenty of praise has come in for Ethan Nwaneri and the ability he has shown in his limited game time so far.
The midfielder tucked away a ball across the box from Raheem Sterling, finding the bottom corner to great celebrations.
It’s led to some discussion from Gary Lineker on The Rest is Football podcast, who said: “Wow. He [Nwaneri] came on, silky little touch, moved it, beat players… They obviously see a lot in him and you can tell. He’s got something a little bit special that young man, hasn’t he?”
Alan Shearer added: “Just a bit. He looks an amazing talent for someone so young. His finish was very clever and what a future he has ahead of him.”
