It has been nearly five years since Unai Emery lost his job at Arsenal.
The Spaniard was the chosen one to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates after the legendary Frenchman left the club in 2018.
Emery got the job and even led Arsenal to the Europa League final in his debut season. However, the cracks were there to see that campaign and things got worse in 2019/20.
After a disastrous start to the new season, Emery was sacked in November. The Spaniard has done a remarkable job since, achieving success at Villarreal and now at Aston Villa.
He has improved many players, and one of them made a phenomenal name for himself in the Champions League against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Arsenal fans are all urging Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta to sign that player in a move that will surely annoy Emery. The last thing he would want to do is help the Gunners after they sacked him.

Arsenal fans make Jhon Duran transfer demand after his Champions League display
Jhon Duran became Aston Villa’s hero in the Champions League on Wednesday night after he came off the bench and scored to help beat Bayern Munich.
The Colombian has arguably been the best super-sub in Europe this season. He has shown tremendous quality for a 20-year-old, and his future really does look bright.
Arsenal do need a new striker in 2025, and after watching Duran’s performance against Bayern, Gooners are all urging Arteta and Edu to sign him.
One Arsenal fan tweeted: “Arsenal need to get Duran. What a player!”
Another wrote: “I would very much like to see Jhon Duran in Arsenal colours.”
“Get Duran to Arsenal, I’ve seen enough,” said another.
Another Arsenal supporter tweeted: “It’s time to do it I’m afraid…JHON DURAN to Arsenal. I would love it, and I deserve it.”
“Arsenal must sign this Duran guy. He reminds me of RVP,” said another.
Jhon Duran’s stats this season will blow you away
It looked very likely that Jhon Duran would leave Aston Villa in the summer. A number of clubs wanted to sign him, but no move materialised in the end.
Emery’s first choice is Ollie Watkins at Villa Park, but an argument can be made that Duran is the better striker – his numbers definitely suggest that.
The Colombian has made nine appearances for Aston Villa this season, but only one of them has come from the start – against Wycombe in the EFL Cup.
Despite that, Duran has scored six goals in all competitions, averaging a goal every 49.5 minutes. That is a stunning return.
If Duran is on the market in the next two transfer windows, it won’t be a bad idea at all for Arsenal to take a chance on him. He is still only 20 and will get much better in the coming years.
The fact that this move would annoy Emery makes it even more brilliant.
