Arsenal fans are delighted with the progress that Kai Havertz has made in recent weeks.
Kai Havertz was in fine form as Arsenal beat Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
The German struggled to hit the ground running after his arrival at the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea in the recent summer transfer window, coming in for plenty of criticism as he strived to find his feet and some confidence in north London.
Now, though, the 24-year-old looks to have settled into the Arsenal team and is responding well to Mikel Arteta’s tactical instructions. The absence of Gabriel Jesus in recent matches has allowed Havertz to strike up an incredibly effective partnership with Leandro Trossard on the pitch.
Both players got on the scoresheet against Burnley, and posed problems for the hosts’ defence throughout the match, as their interplay and interchanging movement made the Gunners’ attacking play incredibly unpredictable.
As per Sofascore statistics, against the Clarets Havertz won 12 duels, more than any other player on the pitch. He also played one key pass, completed one dribble, and made one tackle.

Arsenal fans wowed by Kai Havertz improvement
Havertz has now scored six goals for the Gunners, across all competitions, and is an increasingly crucial figure in the side, playing a key role in providing an outlet for long range balls and knitting the team’s attacking player together. His off-the-ball runs make space for others, and his physicality is important in helping Arsenal to defend from the front.
After the trashing of Burnley, plenty of Arsenal fans took to X to hail Havertz’s impact on the match. One supporter said, “he’s only marginally the 2nd best business we did last Summer. We’re lucky to have him.” Another stated, “at last their is a role for him in the team as you can see his obvious class starting show!”
One fan claimed that against Burnley Havertz “made everything happen he was the main character.” Another described the player as being “Top quality . He is growing game by game . The versatility he provides in team is remarkable.”
