Arsenal fans are ecstatic with the latest injury update regarding Bukayo Saka as the star looks to work his way back to full fitness.

The winger has been out of action since late December when he picked up a serious injury away at Crystal Palace.

Saka had torn his hamstring, with a severe grade tear resulting in surgery and some time spent on crutches.

It has meant that Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have required answers to his absence on the right flank, with several different options tried in that area.

While there have been some promising displays out there, none of them have quite managed to match the quality and consistency of Bukayo Saka.

Fortunately, though, fans may not have to wait much longer to see their stay boy back in action once again.

Arsenal fans react as Bukayo Saka makes training return

Bukayo Saka has made his return to Arsenal training, albeit in a light capacity as he looks to build up his fitness once again.

The winger was spotted working with weights and putting more pressure on his legs as he steps up in anticipation of a return.

Previous reports have stated that Saka should return from injury in early March, with the Manchester United away game targetted for a place back in the squad.

The involvement in Arsenal’s trip to Dubai has got fans excited as they see the first pictures of him back in action.

Taking to social media platform X, one fan said: “We need you more than ever champ,” while another added: “Good luck B. We miss you.”

Others were slightly more cautious in regards to a reoccurrence of the injury, adding: “Do NOT rush the lad back.”

Though others were still hopeful, simply saying: “Starboy Saka.”

In all though, there was plenty of optimism as supporters claimed: “Can’t wait until Bukayo Saka is back. Liverpool have a tough run of games coming up.”

“Nah. Can’t believe seeing new photos of Saka would elevate my mood,” another hopeful fan added.

It shows just the impact Saka has had on the team over such a long period of time and one they will hope continues into the coming run of matches.

Bukayo Saka injury return will be key to Arsenal season

It’s fair to say that injuries, refereeing decisions and a bit of bad luck have made it a bit of a stop-start season for Arsenal.

However, there is still plenty up for grabs as the Premier League title is still on the cards, while the Champions League enters the knockout stages.

The key to both of those will be the fitness and form of Saka, who was on fire before going out with a hamstring issue.

If he can find that sort of form in front of goal once again, then he will be a huge part of the Gunners pushing for a title or two by the end of the campaign.

Whether he can or not remains to be seen, but the chances of Arsenal ending the season well firmly depends on him.
