Arsenal fans can’t stop talking about Kai Havertz in the wake of the Gunners’ 1-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday.
Arsenal ensured that the Premier League title race will go down to the final day of the season with their 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Whilst Kai Havertz did not get on the scoresheet himself against Manchester United, he was still able to make a telling contribution in the North West.
Whilst Casemiro was sluggish in pushing forward up the pitch, Havertz took advantage of being played onside by the Brazilian to call for the ball whilst he was in oceans of space in the final third. Ben White then picked out the German forward, who drove into the Red Devils’ penalty area before finding Leandro Trossard with a slow cross. The Belgian was then able to tap in from close range and put the Gunners ahead with 20 minutes on the clock.
Kai Havertz maintains brilliant Arsenal form against Man Utd
This was yet another goal contribution from Havertz, who has been in blistering form at the business end of the season. With Mikel Arteta having finally settled on playing the 24-year-old as a striker with regularity, the former Chelsea man has sparkled.
In his last 13 Premier League outings, Havertz has racked up eight goals and six assists. Jamie Carragher now insists that Havertz has given Arsenal a “great chance” to win the title.

The forward had his doubters at the start of the season. Plenty struggled to envision how he would fit into Arteta’s team, and doubted that he could contribute enough in the final third. Havertz has now silenced his critics and has won the hearts of Arsenal fans.
If the North London club do go on to land their first league title triumph in twenty years this season, then that success will owe an awful lot to the form that Havertz has produced in the second half of the campaign.
