Arsenal fans have lauded Gabriel Martinelli with a brand new chant.

Martinelli scored the winner at the Bernabeu in the 93rd minute against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Played in by Mikel Merino in the dying embers, the Brazilian raced clear of Fran Garcia and expertly slotted past Thibaut Courtois to send the Arsenal away end into raptures.

A crowning moment for the winger, his new chant rang round the gods at the Bernabeu at full-time, and will likely become a famous Gunners tune for years to come because of this single iconic moment.

New Gabriel Martinelli chant lyrics

In the days leading up to the game, Arsenal fans mooted the new Martinelli around the streets of Madrid.

However, it became mainstream in the away end on Wednesday night, rising to prominence after the 23-year-old slotted home the winning goal.

To the tune of the popular Italian song ‘Bella Ciao’, Arsenal fans sung at the Bernabeu: “La la la la la la la la la, his name is Gabi, he’s from Sau Paulo, and he plays for Arsenal.”

A fitting chant for a player who has rediscovered his form in recent matches, the new anthem should give Martinelli more confidence heading into the final parts of the season.

Liverpool fans aren’t happy about Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli chant

The new chant is a replica of Liverpool’s song for Luis Diaz, and unsurprisingly, the Merseyside faithful weren’t too pleased that Arsenal have adopted it for Martinelli.

The Reds fanbase took to social media to express their displeasure over the matter.

One fan wrote on X: “Do they have any of their own songs?”

Another fan added: “They want to us so badly. First the allez allez allez song before the game and flags and scarves. Such a pathetic club.”

Another Liverpool supporter wrote: “Copy everything we do aside from the most important thing… winning trophies. What a club, honestly.”

One more added: “It’s funny how much Arsenal fan seem to admire Liverpool fans. They love our songs so much.”

Liverpool fans believing they’ve invented every chant in existence and that they reserve the rights to each of them certainly isn’t a new thing, and they seemingly continue to live in this world.
