Arsenal supporters have now had their say on the departure of Mika Biereth after the club officially announced his departure.
Arsenal have confirmed that Mika Biereth has left the club, joining Sturm Graz on a permanent basis, as per the club’s official website.
The Danish striker never made a first team appearance for the Gunners, joining the Hale End academy setup in the summer of 2021. He then enjoyed loan spells with RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell, and most recently Sturm Graz.
The 21-year-old was in prolific form for the Austrian outfit in the second half of last season, racking up 9 goals and 4 assists in 22 appearances, as he helped fire the club to a league and cup double.
Sturm Graz have wanted to sign Biereth on a permanent deal for some time, and have now gotten their wish. It seems that Mikel Arteta was convinced that the forward wouldn’t have what it takes to make the grade at the Emirates Stadium and therefore sanctioned his exit.
However, not all Arsenal fans are aligned with the manager’s viewpoint on this matter.

Arsenal fans react to exit of Mika Biereth
Following confirmation of Biereth’s switch to Sturm Graz, plenty of supporters of the Premier League side took to X to express their concerns and to wish the Denmark under-21s international good luck in this next stage of his career.
One supporter said: “Quality player! Hope he smashes it. Always thought he could do well at arsenal!”
Another claimed: “Mikel is ruining this young lads careers.”
One fan asked: “Why I want to understand why because this guy has more potential.”
One complained: “Clowns Academy Obi Will Leave For Free Soon.”
Another added: “Had high hopes for Biereth. Thought he looked like a proper old school CF.”
Chido Obi-Martin could benefit from Mika Biereth leaving Arsenal
Biereth’s sale potentially helps to clear a path for Chido Obi-Martin to take a step closer to first team involvement at Arsenal.
The teenage sensation was utterly prolific at academy level last season. Obi-Martin broke a number of Arsenal youth records with his goalscoring exploits.
The 16-year-old is still some way away from being ready for senior football, but Arteta will certainly be keeping tabs on his development, and with Biereth out of the way the teenager may now represent the next cab off the rank when it comes to young strikers coming up through the academy.
