For the second time in his career, Jack Wilshere is leaving Arsenal.

Jack Wilshere has a long-standing association with Arsenal, having first joined the club’s Hale End academy as a nine-year-old.

The former midfielder came up through the academy system in North London, and made a huge impact at first team level at a very early age, having been afforded his senior debut by then-manager Arsene Wenger in 2008 when he was just 16-years-old.

He quickly established himself as a regular at first team level, and won the hearts of the Emirates Stadium faithful rapidly.

As a player, he remained with the Gunners until the summer of 2018, making almost 200 first team appearances for the club, across all competitions.

Unfortunately, persistent injuries disrupted his career, and he retired at the age of 30 in 2022. Swiftly after hanging up his boots, Mikel Arteta welcomed Wilshere back to the Emirates Stadium.

The 32-year-old returned to the Hale End academy to take charge of the Arsenal under-18s side.

Wilshere enjoys a close relationship with Arteta, and the pair were once teammates at Arsenal. However, the for good of his career, he is now waving goodbye to the Emirates Stadium once again.

Wilshere has agreed to join Norwich City, where he will join the first team coaching setup, as confirmed by the official Arsenal website.
