Mikel Arteta reveals Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling injuries
Arsenal are battling with two new injuries in their squad, following concerns over Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling.
The latter was absent from the clash with Crystal Palace after picking up an issue in training, while the former suffered from an injury during the game and had to be substituted early.
With the duo a doubt to face off against Ipswich Town in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta gave an update on them.

Speaking about Saka first, he said: “It’s not looking good [for Saka]. He’s going to be out for many weeks.”
Meanwhile, on Sterling, it was more bad news: “He’s gonna be out for weeks. He needs further testing tomorrow to understand the extent of his injury. It’s his knee.”
It seems as though a long spell on the sidelines could be on the cards for the pair for the weeks ahead.

Nico Williams’ stance on transfer
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Nico Williams, with the Athletic Bilbao star impressing over the past few months.
The winger has shown top quality on both the left and right flank for his side, though that has naturally come with transfer interest.
The Gunners aren’t the only team looking into a possible deal, with plenty of other teams also in the mix.
As a result, according to journalist Toni Juanmarti, Barcelona are a side on the radar that could make a move happen.
Writing on X, he said: “It’s an option [Barcelona for Williams]. Too early to tell yet. He would like to come!”
It remains to be seen if that could allow for Arsenal to join the transfer race still or if it’s over before it has really begun.

Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal transfer latest
Real Sociedad director Roberto Olabe has spoken out about Arsenal’s transfer target Martin Zubimendi and his future.
The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to north London to help bolster the midfield ranks in the near future.
The Gunners are joined by the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool in the race for his signature, which could create some competition.

On top of that, there is a release clause, as Olabe revealed when speaking to Estadio Deportivo.
He said: “Zubimendi has a release clause, yes… but it’s always the player to decide and he’s been showing how committed he is to our project.”
“So far, we’ve seen how he has behaved and I don’t predict any ‘scares’ in January for Zubimendi to leave.”
