Arsenal fans might be firmly focused on the World Cup right now but things will soon get back to the transfer market.

The Gunners are expected to be major players in the market this summer and Mikel Arteta wants to add around four new players of high quality to the ranks.

A new winger, right-back and central midfielder are all on his agenda, while the club as a whole continues to look at the top young talent in the world.

Indeed, one of those young talents is Mexico teenager, Gabriel Mora.

And according to reports from Central America, Arsenal are among the teams keen on landing the midfielder.

Arsenal in the mix to sign Mexico starlet Gilberto Mora

This World Cup has really been about the tried and tested stars all showing up and producing.

The likes of Mbappe, Messi, Haaland and Kane have all excelled, with very little room for any emerging youngsters or unknowns to make a big name for themselves.

However, Mexico sensation Gilberto Mora is an exception.

He became the youngest ever player to start in a World Cup knockout game when he faced England last night – surpassing Pele’s record – and now it’s claimed Arsenal want to sign him.

Mexican outlet El Universal Mexico has suggested Arsenal are among a number of clubs keen on signing Mora.

Crucially as well, it’s claimed that he has a £20m release clause in his current contract with Club Tijuana.

Mora has already impressed for Tijuana, netting ten goals last season and already breaking past the 50 appearance mark for the Mexican outfit.

Liverpool are also keen on signing Mora but with Arsenal’s rich history of bringing over players from South America, there will be a confidence at the club that they can present an attractive proposition to Mora.
