Arsenal legend Thierry Henry put Tottenham Hotspur to the sword on countless occasions during his playing days, and has now done it again.
The former striker is arguably the greatest player in the history of the club and the Premier League, and he played a huge part in two of Arsene Wenger’s three titles.
Henry won the league with the Invincibles side, securing the title in a draw away at Tottenham, and this meant that he won more Premier League titles at the old White Hart Lane than any Spurs legend in this era.
Having destroyed Spurs countless times over the years, Henry still could not resist a dig at Arsenal’s heated rivals, as he presented the FIFA Best Player of the Year award.
Thierry Henry aims dig at Tottenham Hotspur
Presenting the award for the Best Player of 2023, which was won by Lionel Messi, Henry joked that as Messi was not present at the awards, he would have to collect the trophy on his behalf.
He then aimed a dig at presenter and Spurs fan Reshmin Chowdhury, and stated that as they never win anything, she should be the one to take it.
“Unfortunately, the winner is not with us tonight, so someone is going to have to take the trophy,” he stated.
“I actually have two reasons for taking it, I never won it so I’m keeping it.
“You’re a Tottenham fan right?” He asked Chowdhury.
“That’s my other reason, as you never usually get your hands on a trophy, so take this one!”
Thierry Henry’s record against Tottenham

Henry is one of the highest scorers in the history of the North London derby, with five goals and an assist in 11 games against them in the Premier League and FA Cup.
His Premier League exploits saw him win the title at their ground, as well as scoring several incredible goals including a solo strike which saw him dribble past countless players to finish.
Henry was part of the winning side in seven of his 11 North London derby appearances, and drew the other four, meaning he was never on the losing side in the rivalry.
The Frenchman is the fifth-highest scorer in the history of the derby, tied with Gareth Bale, and Robin van Persie, and is only behind Son-Heung Min, Robert Pires, Emmanuel Adebayor and Harry Kane in this regard, and as Arsenal’s all-time top scorer, he is one of the biggest legends in the history of the club.
