Over a 20-year professional career, Thierry Henry cemented himself as one of football’s greatest-ever players.

The Frenchman played as a left-winger as well as a centre-forward during his time, initially breaking through at AS Monaco.

Henry’s performances saw him picked up by Juventus in 1999, but that didn’t last long as, later that year, he joined Arsenal.

An eight-year spell followed in which the forward impressed under Arsene Wenger, winning plenty of trophies for the club, while he came runner-up for the 2003 Ballon d’Or.

In 2007, he joined Barcelona for a three-year stay before joining New York Red Bulls, where he would see out his career, along with a short loan spell back at the Emirates Stadium.

Thierry Henry first got married on July 5, 2003, to an English model named Claire Merry.
