Arsenal starlet Mika Biereth has been sensational on loan at Motherwell this season, with the striker impressing in the Scottish Premier League.
The 20-year-old has scored six goals and provided five assists in 11 appearances in the Scottish top flight, and has quickly become one of the most important players at his club.
Biereth joined Arsenal from Fulham’s youth academy in 2021, and he moved to Motherwell on loan in August in order to gain more first-team experience.
The Danish under-21 star is one of the most exciting attacking talents within the academy, and he has now been spotted back in Arsenal training, in a surprising development.
Mika Biereth training with Arsenal first-team
The striker has now been spotted in training, in an unusual move given that he is still on loan at Motherwell until the end of the season.
This may lead to suggestions that he could be in line for a recall to the club, with Arsenal struggling in attack this season, but the more likely explanation is that he is using this opportunity to train at a higher level whilst Motherwell enjoy their mid-season break.
Motherwell last played on January 2nd, as Biereth notched up two assists in a 2-2 draw with Hibernian, but do not play again until January 20th, meaning the young forward has had time to return to North London temporarily.
Arsenal should not recall Mika Biereth from Motherwell loan

Despite Arsenal’s recent struggles, and Biereth’s strong form in front of goal, Mikel Arteta should not recall Biereth from his loan at Motherwell.
The young striker is thriving in what is a physically challenging league, and despite missing some games at the start of the season with injury, has been one of the standout young players in Scottish football this season.
Biereth has momentum on his side, and he will hope to continue his fine form for the rest of the season. At the end of the campaign, Arsenal will have a decision to make.
Biereth’s regular minutes could put him in the shop window for Arsenal to make a potentially profitable sale, but if he continues to produce in front of goal, he could even present himself as an option for Arteta to assess in pre-season.
He may not be ready for first-team action with Arsenal, and recalling him now would kill his momentum, which both the player and Motherwell will hope to capitalise on in the second half of the season.
