Arsenal are in the market for a new winger this summer and they could now be in the race to sign one of Europe’s most promising up and coming stars.

The Gunners know that Gabriel Martinelli needs either replacing or at least putting under more pressure and they are expected to make a move this summer.

However, with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr set to stay in Spain, Arsenal need to look elsewhere and that could take them to Germany.

Arsenal among teams scouting RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande

According to a report from TeamTalk, Yan Diomande is attracting admiring glances from the Premier League, with Arsenal included.

It’s suggested that while Liverpool have scouted Diomande the most, it is Arsenal and Manchester United who have checked on him more recently.

Diomande has emerged as a star for RB Leipzig this season and the same report claims that they’ve slapped an £87m price tag on him already as Red Bull view him as their brightest talent since Erling Haaland.

However, Diomande is in no rush to leave. It’s claimed that he will wait until after the World Cup to make a decision, while RB Leipzig themselves are under no pressure to sell.

Arsenal, of course, are keen to land a new winger and with Diomande just 19, he is perfect for Mikel Arteta to work with and shape into what he wants.

Diomande has hit 11 goals and contributed eight assists already this season in just 30 games.

As we’ve seen before with Leipzig, they are a hotbed of talent both for the Bundesliga and England.

Recent seasons have seen the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons make moves to the Premier League, while the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Dominik Szoboszlai and Christopher Nkunku have all made big money moves to England.
