Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly has become a household name this season.
The teenager joined the club’s academy when he was just eight years old. He came through the ranks at Hale End and became a popular name even before he got to play for the first team.
After a successful tour of the United States last summer, Lewis-Skelly earned Mikel Arteta’s trust, and the 18-year-old has been a regular in first-team squads since.
Lewis-Skelly even started the last three Premier League games of 2024. He was brilliant in those fixtures and has earned a lot of praise since.
Myles Lewis-Skelly set for a bumper new Arsenal contract
Lewis-Skelly is one of the most talented teenagers in world football.
The 18-year-old constantly impressed at academy level over the last few years, but he has made first-team football look just as easy too.
That is simply remarkable, and everyone at Arsenal knows that they have a humongous talent on their hands who is destined to be a star for club and country in the coming years.
Lewis-Skelly signed his first professional contract at Arsenal in September 2022. That was a three-year deal that is set to expire in 2026, which is just 18 months away.
Arsenal have recognised that, and the Daily Mail now claim that Lewis-Skelly is in line for a bumper new contract at the Emirates.
The Gunners want to secure the youngster’s future before he enters the final year of his deal. The last thing they need is to see another big club try and steal him next summer.

Three other Arsenal stars’ contracts have to be extended too
Arsenal have been a lot more proactive with players’ contracts in recent years, and that is really good to see after years of mismanagement.
Securing Lewis-Skelly’s future is really important, but Arsenal have three key players whose deals must be renewed as soon as possible.
William Saliba, his central defensive partner Gabriel Magalhaes’ and Hale End’s own Bukayo Saka’s contracts all expire in the summer of 2027. That means they will enter the final two years of their deals this summer.
All three players are among the best in the world in their positions. Several giants in Europe would love to sign them if they become available, which is why Arsenal need to start extension talks with all of them.
We really hope those three deals, as well as Lewis Skelly’s, will be wrapped up before the start of next season.
