Arsenal are thriving on the pitch as Mikel Arteta’s side have picked up maximum points in the Premier League so far, but they have now made a poor decision off it.
Arsenal are aiming to challenge for the Premier League title, and will hope to win at least one major trophy as they are also competing in the Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
Fans are eager to see one of the major two trophies arrive at the Emirates Stadium for the first time, but the domestic cups are also good opportunities for success.
The Carabao Cup in particular, has been used to rotate the squad, and give first-team chances to talents from the Hale End Academy. It is also a chance for fans who otherwise struggle to attend matches at the Emirates, to be given the opportunity.

Why the Carabao Cup is a good opportunity for Arsenal fans to go to the Emirates
For years, home fixtures in the Carabao Cup have gone on general sale, and season tickets do not apply.
Tickets in the lower tier of the Emirates Stadium were usually priced at £10, and £20 in the upper tier.
This allows a younger generation of fans to go, and the crowd at the Emirates for the Carabao Cup is often catered towards families more, as well as fans who cannot afford the higher prices in higher category games.
This has also led to full stadiums for early rounds of the Carabao Cup in recent years, with the new ballot system introduced last year making it more difficult for a lot of fans to gain access to the bigger games.
However, Arsenal have now decided to change this system, and the implications are massive.
Arsenal to raise prices for Carabao Cup home games
Arsenal fan group REDaction Gooners have now revealed that the lower-priced tickets for Carabao Cup home games have been scrapped. The decision was made last year, but Arsenal were drawn away before losing at West Ham, meaning no home fixture occurred.
“Note there will be no £10 & £20 tickets for the League Cup if we get a home draw – this was to be in place last season, but we go knocked out before getting a home match,” they posted on X.
This is a decision which will infuriate a lot of fans. Those who are priced out of the more expensive games will now no longer have the opportunity to support the team at a lower cost.
Given the demographic of the fans who attend Carabao Cup fixtures, which is mostly comprised of younger supporters and families, these are the ones who will be most affected.
This may lead to less fans attending home fixtures in the competition, which are placed on weeknights, and often reserve team players rather than the first-team stars given opportunities. Charlie Patino was an example of an academy star who made his debut in the Carabao Cup, and his goal earned a brilliant reception from the crowd.
If Arsenal are drawn at home, they may find that there are noticeably more empty seats compared to previous years in the competition, and the reserves and academy stars given a chance will receive less vocal support.
One big appeal of attending Carabao Cup games has been the lower cost, but many fans may now baulk at the idea of spending potentially £30 on a ticket that would previously cost £10, and Arsenal’s decision may backfire.
Who have Arsenal got in the Carabao Cup round three draw?
So with Arsenal being in the Champions League for the campaign, they had to be drawn out first to avoid any potential clashes with fellow European sides in the schedule.
The Gunners secured a home match at the Emirates Stadium against League One outfit Bolton Wanderers.
It could be a good opportunity for Mikel Arteta to rotate his side amid a tricky fixture schedule, though the threat of the third-tier side cannot be discounted.
